Level 5 BAA and CPD training

Level Five (Basic Ambulance Course)

This course is designed for those individuals looking for a career in the Emergency Services, although many large mines have sent and continue to send their nursing staff and even security staff on this one month long intensive course in Emergency Care.

  • Duration - 160 Hours

  • Entry Requirement - Standard 8 or higher

  • Yearly registration with the H.P.C.S.A

90% class attendance: C.P.R. pass

Final Mark
- Final mark is the average of the Oral, Theoretical and practical examination.

Cum Laude
- A Cum Laude certificate may be issued when a candidate receives 75% or higher.

Fail
- If a candidate fails the examination, he/she may be entitled to undertake a supplementary examination consisting of all components at the sole discretion of the Principal.


CPD (Continued Professional Development) Training

The CPD Training (Continued Professional Development) is required by the H.P.C.S.A. Each B.A.A. has to ensure that they accumulate CPD points by doing a 7 hour course with us. This must be done each 12 month period. They will receive a certificate to take to the H.P.C.S.A. and the points will then be put on their name. Each and every BAA in the country has to accumulate CPD points to be able to carry on practicing under his registered number.

We are a fully accredited provider for CPD training. Our Accreditation number for The B.A.A. training is 19/7/53 and the provider number for the CPD points training is ECP018.

  • Duration - 7 Hours (7 CPD points)

  • Entry Requirement – Registered Level 5 BAA

  • Yearly registration with the H.P.C.S.A for points accumulation
